Bedrunners?

Here's a picture of a bed runner that I quilted for Judy in NC a while back.  Judy always does a fabulous job on her piecing and makes my job super easy.

She also sent me this adorable little quilt.  The pictures do not do the quilt justice.

I believe she called this one Crisscross Applesauce.  The back of this one was as fabulous as the front.  But I can always count on Judy for sending me nothing but wonderful things to work with.

I don't think I've been out of my room for the last 4 days! Thank heaven for the crock pot otherwise my family would starve.   I spent 5 hours on one quilt on Sunday and 2 and half hours on a bed runner for Brandy last night!  Both were just an edge to edge designs, nothing really that special.  I'm beginning to log the time spend on each quilt to get an idea on how much time I actually spend at the machine.

Speaking of...I'd better get back at it.  I'm just now getting to quilts that came in the first of November, so I am terribly behind.  I've posted more pictures of Judy's quilts at the other blog, you can check them out here:

But before I go....anyone doing the SewMamaSew giveaway day?
I'm thinking....yeah or nah? Do we really need it right now?

Well, that's it off to do a load of laundry and try to get a quilt or two done today!
Thanks for checking on me,
hugs,
joanne

love to hear what you've got to say...............

I'm just not into giveaways like I used to be. I still enter a few, but only if it's something I really want. Glad you've been quilting! :0)

I'm debating whether to do the giveaway day this time. So much to do at this time of year, but it is fun to meet new friends.

You have been busy!!!! I really like the idea of the bedrunners. It adds such color to a bedroom and this one is lovely.

My sister has made some gorgeous bedrunners for the twin beds at her beach house and also for the guest room in her home. She didn't want to commit to quilts for the beach house since they rent it out. She made the one for the guest room because she didn't have time to crank out a quilt before they had guests. They really do make a nice addition on the bed - especially if the bedspread is matelasse'.

Love your quilting and your site! But Joanne...does that crockpot stay on for the entire 4 days and does your family just keeping eating out of ;) Ha. You made me laugh and I loved that :)

Beautiful quilting, as usual! A bedrunner is a nice idea, although at our house it would turn into a kitty perch :) I am still debating if I am going to enter some SMS giveaways. I'll host one on my blog though. And the Blog Hop giveaway day for the Quilting Gallery, of course. That one is only for quilting blogs :)
