Busy, busy, busy, quilts, quilts, quilts.

As I'm catching up on some of my blog reading that seems to be the sentiment of most bloggers. Busy, busy, busy.  Life is just busy.  But, we need to remember to fill our time with what is important to us and not let the un-important drag us down. Enough said...

On to the quilts....I recently quilted out 5 quilts for one of my guilds.  They will be presented to a local women's shelter for this area.  As a guild we have supported this shelter in the past and I know the quilts are needed and well received.  Here's the ones that I quilted....

Had the opportunity to work with Mary and helped her get a couple more quilts to the finishing stages.  The first one was an adorable little lap quilt that she had put together for her physical therapist.  The colors were so soft I didn't manage to get a good pic of the whole quilt, but took lots of close ups.

This is Mary's second quilt.  Great little maple leaf quilt that she put together for her guilds charity.

Next I worked on a couple of great quilts from Andee and a few wall hangings that she had made from her fathers clothing.  Loved the wall hangings, my favorite is the star one.

Andee also sent a couple of great quilts.  Here's a batik and a scrappy quilt that
I believe is a Bonnie Hunter design.

Well, that's 9 quilts today and if you throw in the 3 or 4 wall hangings I think that shows about how busy I've been.   If you'd like to see more pictures of these fantastic quilts here's the link to the other blog with more pictures.....

Jeff managed to get the front of the house looking a little bit better this past weekend.  After two years of living with house wrap we finally got the siding on.  It had something to do with moving the outside faucet, walls in the living room, placement of closet...well, if you've ever done house renovations you know the drill.   Start in one room and before you know it the entire house is ripped apart.  It all rolls back to which project is the most time/money/important that "needs" to be done next.  Yep, I've lived my entire married life in house (dis)repair, but he's worth it.  Here's a couple of shots.

Okay, Nancy's quilts are in the mail, and Judy C's wonderful quilts are up next!  Bev stopped by last week with a couple of great quilts, and Rachel has a few that I've quilted up for her that I need to post.  Yup, life is busy..........

thanks for checking on me,
have a wonderful week!
hugs,
joanne

love to hear what you've got to say...................

So nice to see my quilts on your blog! I have four of the six of them bound and several mailed out to some special people! Thanks for helping me speed up that process!

do you have time to eat? sleep? read? SIT? The house is looking good. Our reno is moving along slowly, especially now that my brothers car racing is really kicking into high gear and he keeps asking Dad to go be his crew (chief, but with only dad, brother, and brothers girlfriend who knows only a touch more about cars than I do....) most weekends.
