January 2021 - A New Year!

Another great batch of beautiful quilts so let's get started!

Here's one from Susanne she used two solid reading fabrics combined with cream and then black for a sharp contrast for her block. Great design with dramatic results and the borderless quilt remains so amazingly modern.

Timeless treasure is what I would call this blue and white quilt from Barbara.  Simple but oh so elegant.  Classic design that will make this quilt a treasure for many, many years to come. Made for her son,  we kept the quilting design geometric, again timeless and just perfect.

Betsy is back again this month with another scrappy Bonnie Hunter design.  She did a great job on mixing and matching all of those wonderful tiny little pieces of fabric for yet another incredible quilt finish!

Terry has a couple of quilts this month.  Leading off with her modern cat with tons of amazing colors in the coordinating fabrics.  The focus cat print is just artistic, how can you not love it?  Her second quilt is a Christmas quilt and since it was done is January we'll just say she's way ahead of the schedule for this year!

We selected a fun quilting design, click for a closer view.  It's called
Cookie Cutter and has many fun elements.

Here's a great plan for a couple of jelly rolls or just some coordinating strips that you may have laying around.  Katherine completed this beautiful quilt using red and white with just hints of a soft blue for the accent color.  Great quilt, great use of strips!

How adorable is this little quilt from Jane? The butterfly fabric
just called for a butterfly quilting design.

Next we have a couple of fantastic quilts from Terry.  Scrappy is usually her style blended with white for a striking contrast.  Both quilts are amazing, but my fav of the two is the second one.  I just love the design created from two simple blocks.

A very simple quilting design finished both quilt beautifully!
Yep, LOVE IT!!

Cathy's first quilt seems to be all about nature.  The warm colors and prints of the fabrics are perfect for the New Hampshire mountains. Selecting a leaf and acorn quilting design finished this one off beautifully!

Another nature like quilt from Cathy, this adorable little baby
quilt!  We used a cute owl design for the quilting and it completes
 this quilt perfectly!

What do you do with a panel, especially when it's huge?  Melynn did a
fabulous job pulling this quilt top together using these huge panels
blocks. This would be the perfect quilt for anyone who loves to
garden. Her borders are a very cool design!

Melynn's second quilt is totally scrappy with pops of red. A fun
quilting design finished it off nicely!

Our last quilt just reminds me of a soft pastel painting. Jeannie made this quilt for a niece and the colors are so soft and soothing.  The pattern is the split nine using a print and soft coordinating solid pastel fabrics as solids.

That's what I did last January!  Stay tuned for more quilts to
be posted.  I am DETERMINED to get caught up!

Thanks for checking on me,
hugs,

joanne

love to hear what you've got to say...........
