February 2021

It's all about LEGO'S!!  How stinkin' fun is this quilt?                                 Stancy did a fantastic job creating this Lego quilt for her nephew.  We finished it off with a matching Lego quilting design making it just perfect for any 9-year-old little guy.  Who are we kidding? This is the perfect quilt for any age Lego person!  (My boys LOVED this one and they are 27, 29, and 31 years old!)

Here's Stancy's second quilt, so colorful! We opted for a modern floral/feather-like design and it's just perfect!

Stancy also finished off this great little fall wall hanging.  Using a swirly lightly leafy design was superb for keeping it elegant and not overpowering the fabrics.

Stancy's Christmas wall hanging was just as magnificent! She'll be all ready for next year or has the most perfect gift before the last minute of the holiday season begins.

Lisa always WOWS!  Her color selection is just top-notch!  Here's a completely scrappy quilt that is just gorgeous.  Her tip is to not overpower with so many different scrappy colors.  She will pull 5 colorways from her stash and then select a "pop" color.  In this quilt, the color is yellow/gold.  Bordering it in red and blue - Brilliant!

I love working with Beth Anne, her piecing is impeccable.  Her first quilt is so fun!  You MUST click on the photos for a closer look at the adorable sheep fabric.  They are knitting sheep!  Knitting is another love of Beth Anne's so this quilt was made by her, for her!  YAY, Beth Anne!

Again, gotta love the sampler quilts.  I believe this one was being gifted to a brother.  A swirly, leafy design was the quilting design that finished it.

AND!!  How fantabulous is this beautiful bargello?  Blues, almost teal, and cream with a splash of Kaffe fabric for the pop.  Simple curly quilting and we are calling it spectacular.

Here's a quilt from Linda that I'm calling stunning simplicity.  Love the colors and the contrast they create in this simply beautiful quilt.  We used a very geometric quilting design to continue the simplicity of the quilt finishing it off wonderfully.

Another sampler quilt this month. There are so many directions you can go with the quilting designs.  Here's one from Cathy's Mom, Priscilla.  Her color selection of browns and creams is a perfect pair for creating an excellent contrast for the blocks.

Renie, another of my WOW! quilters.  It's always fascinating to see her next completed top.  Here's an adorable mix of houses and trees.  Another love of mine, these great house quilts.  We selected a swirly elegant quilting design free of elements to keep the focus on the quilt.

Susanne's quilt is a charming design made with half-square triangles.  The lovely soft print of this fabric line makes this quilt perfect for a bit of fun. We selected a design that has swirls and hearts giving it a feeling of love and just a bit more of a personal touch.

Here's a couple of cute quilts from Paige.  Her first quilt is constructed from a blend of soft prints and a pink accent fabric.  The multi size circles of the quilting design works very well keeping this quilt just as soft as can be.

How cute is this bold green and print?  The shamrocks in the quilting
design was definitely the way to go making this one super special.
Great job, Paige!

Ginny's quilt is all decked out in Oriental prints. With all of the printed fabrics we needed to keep the quilting simple, yet retain the feeling of the Orient.  Quilting out this Sakura quilting design I think just completed the job.

That wraps up another month and I'm moving closer to getting all these great quilts posted! Stay tuned there are many. many more to come!

Thanks for checking on me,
hugs,

joanne
