October was a super busy month for me. It's fun to remember all of these gorgeous works these gals sent my way. Such a variety of colors, styles, and designs! I try to post at least once a month, sometimes I get a bit behind due to one thing or the other. ugh! I've had this post ready to go for about two weeks now. I've lost photos and tried my best to find them within the 17,000 photos I now have on my computer. I'm missing photos for JoAnn, Linda, and Sue from Hen House Fabrics. If and when I ever locate these great quilts I'll add them back into that posting. So sorry gals, I'll keep looking! But for now, on with the show!

Photo's found!!
JoAnn's projects were amazing!! LOVE the blue one of course, but the yellow/orange is so bright and colorful!! With lots of Y seams, the blue one constructed with gorgeous fabrics is stunning! The colors on her second, so vibrant! From the yellows to the reds and oranges, amazing!
Linda's quilt is full of wonderful new fun fabrics. So modern with all of the latest prints. She paired them perfectly with a slightly off white fabric to finish a really great quilt. Ultra modern quilting design for the finish!
OMG!! I LOVE this little blue kid print! How stinkin' cute is this animal print in blues and gray? What a great fabric for that perfect little guy. Sue worked two of these little quilts up finishing one with a batik backing and the second with the cute little print.

First up is Alex. With this ultra modern quilt using a variety of colors and prints. The curved of the smaller block fabric keeps the interest of each one of the different fabrics. Opting for a totally modern quilting design was the perfect finish for this quilt. Alex donated this one to the Upper Valley Humane Society for their annual fundraising auction. Good job, Alex!!
Anne from NC sent me a couple of great quilts. Her first is a sampler block all done up in browns and tans. Very calm and soothing color combination. A very simple swirly quilting design to finish this one. Her second all done up in an orangish coral, grays and a splash of green is wonderful! I used a poppy design similar to what was in one of the fabrics.
WOW!! Barbara worked up this panel and it was spectacular! The browns highlighted the soft colors of the center and the silver on the fabrics was amazing. Keeping it simple not to take away from the design, a simple swirl was used for the quilting. Her second quilt a colorful batik we went with a more modern design to finish it off. Her final quilt is AMAZING!! Love the design and the color combo sets it off beautifully!
Dorothy is back again this month. Working with her normal favorite colors combo but adding a bit of extra splash this month. I love how she added the bright green to really make this one pop!! We went with an updated traditional quilting design to mimic the fabric selection and the bold green. Excellent job!
Karen in IN kept me busy for a bit. Here's a wonderful panel that she made into a window pane quilt. These work extremely well for all of those guys (both big and little) in your life. Her second quilt is full of girly colors all done up in pinks, white and brights. Knowing it was made for a little girl, I just had to use a swirly heart for the quilting.
Here's a couple of things I got from Katherine. Her first is a fantastic red, white and blue quilt. Love it!! This could absolutely be a great way to burn through some of those scraps you've got in your stash! Katherine also finished up this cute little table runner just in time for Halloween. Spider webs just had to finish it off with as the quilting design.
Are we surprised to see Mary Catherine back again this month? Nope...lol!! She is a woman on a mission and don't get in this gals way! Keeping up with her is a challenge! This month she finished off another beautiful 1600 all done up in Christmas fabrics. A super cute little person quilt all done in blues is her second quilt. Don't forget to click on the photo and check this fabric out! The final quilt she finished was done using the blocks that she had won from her guild. It was a lot of fun to finish the arrow quilt with an arrow quilting design.
Up next is a quilt from Nancy in CT. How fun is this bowling quilt that she made for her son? Using a traditional log cabin block with her fabrics offsetting them with the white makes a striking combo for a guy quilt. Check out the quilting, of course, it's a bowling design.
Pat from VT, who is now enjoying the warm sunny days in FL, dropped these two quilts off before heading south. Pat's a Kaffe Fassett gal, we've seen her use his fabrics in a lot of her quilts. Really, who can resist all of those bright, bold wonderful colors? Her first quilt using purples as the sashing with touches of greens is just stunning! Breaking away from the brights her second quilt is very much the Oriental theme. Quilting on that one, dragonflies and ginkgo leaves, why not?
Pat E in VT made this cute little person quilt for a grand nephew. A cute little sports theme for the focus fabric and then we finished it with trains for the quilting. What little guy wouldn't just love this one?
Regina in NH brought me this stunning top. When she delivered it, it was pinned together and a couple of the blocks were hand quilted. Regina rescued this UFO and will be finishing it off for another family member. The quilt maker had passed before getting it done. Regina will be doing the binding and returning a finished quilt to I'm sure someone who is going to be excited about the finished project.
Here's a stunning quilt from Ruth Ann in NH. This one is for her grandson who recently began his college adventure. Ruth Ann's fabric color selection is perfect for the young adult man with the soft browns, tans, creams with splashes of burnt oranges. We kept the quilting modern and offsetting the points of her stars with circles for the quilting. Wonderful, wonderful gift.
Here's a cute little quilt from Sharleen and her quilting/crafting group. This little quilt was finished and will be donated to the Jack Burne Cancer Center. It's fun to see how the color/fabric selection from a group turns into different blocks. Some of the fabric choices really pop with contrast and the others tend to blend a bit more. A perfect way to bring all of the fabrics together is the block border. Great job gals!
That's it for now, hope to be back soon!!
