June Quilts

June was a magnificently hectic quilt month!  Lots of really fabulous quilts came and went.  Seemed to be a great month for little people quilts.  So, so, many cute quilts! Let's get on with the show!

Terry from here in NH has kept me a bit busy with her three quilts.  Just love the first one, it's all about Christmas!  Mixing the traditional red and green with the pink and brown makes this quilt really stand out.  Just had to run a fun design to finish it off.  Her next two quilts finished off nicely with a couple of soft and sweet designs matching the calm of the colors and ease of the quilt design.

Susanne is back again this month with a couple more quilts.  The first is so girly and all about pink!  I believe she mentioned it was for one of the Grands.  She wanted a flower and butterfly design keeping with the soft colors and the fabric design in mind.  Her second quilt is just the opposite, a Kaffe Fassett fabric mixture paired with a white is always a good match.

Lovin' this sampler quilt from Regina!  This is the second one that I've quilted and it's so much fun to see how the fabrics play out with the block design.  Lots of different blocks to love in the quit, but my favorite is still the dress with the apron!

Peg from NC sent this fabulous signature quilt!  You have got to go over to the other blog and check out all of the other photos that I'm not showing here.  The blocks were from a group of friends and the signatures and sentiments are reflective of the special person that Peg is.  We were lucky to have her for a short time here in NH and so happy that our paths are still crossing.

How stinkin' cute is this little train quilt from Pat in VT?  I just love seeing the little trains parked in the shed!  With the adorable baby jungle animals on the backing fabric, I just had to follow the theme and use that for the quilting design.  So cute!!

Another cuteness overload quilt came from Pat in NH!  These fish!!  So cute!!  I love the way they are swimming the seaweed among the blocks.  The eyes just make the little (and big) fish come to life.  All of the bright colors make this a fabulously fun quilt that will be loved for many, many years.

Nancy in Pa was kind enough to send a few quilts to me for the Jack Byrne Cancer Center at Dartmouth Hospital.  I got them all quilted up and a few of the local gals helped get them finished and are now being used at the Cancer Center.  Thanks Nancy, all the quilts are wonderful and will bring comfort to many families.

Mary Catherine
I am not sure if this gal gets any sleep!  She is a quilting/sewing machine! The quilts this month from Mary Catherine include 4 of her famous 1600 jelly roll quilts,  a split four patch, an I-spy jar quilt and this oriental one!  WHEW!! This gal keeps me hopping!!  BUT the good/fun news is she is now a proud quilting ribbon owner for her oriental quilt!  Good job, MC!  I love seeing all of the fabric lines in the jelly roll quilts and picking out the designs for each quilt is fun! Congrats MC and thanks so much for picking me to help finish all of these wonderful works of love!

Kristina in NH sent me another cute little dinosaur quilt for the new little member of their family.  This is the second quilt that she has sent and I think it's just perfect for that newest little boy in their lives.  The blues and gray are calming with a hint of yellow to finish it off.

Judy in NH made the following quilts for the Quilts of Valor project.  All decked out in red, whites and blues they will make a wonderful gift to a special person who has given so much to our country.

Jane in NH, also adding to her family by one made this beautiful purple quilt.  The new little one will use this great quilt for many years to come.  Jane also made an adorable little crib quilt that matched to be used and loved right away.

Grace in CT brought me this wonderful quilt constructed from 30's fabrics.  Of course, I fell in love with it right away!  Here's another quilt that will be loved for many years to come by her Granddaughter.

Frances in VT.  Another great little quilt for a little man.  Frances asked for fishes in the quilting design and I managed to find the most adorable little fish pattern to finish this one off nicely!

Elizabeth in NH is back again this month with her version of a bookcase quilt.  Made as another graduation gift, Elizabeth is expanding her skills in mixing colors and coming up with designs that work for what she needs.   Another good one!!

Deb in VT kept me busy for a couple of days!  Most of the quilts that come my way from Deb are earmarked for different charities or fundraisers.  Here's Deb's latest, some for the horse rescue and another for a special little dog in need of medical attention.  Love working with Deb and all of her special projects.

Another stinkin' cute baby quilt!  Brenda in NH now has a new little person in her family.  What an adorable quilt this little one will begin her life with.  The elephant spouting hearts and love is a great beginning.

Betty in VT sent me this amazing bear quilt!  Love the real photos from the Alaskan Bear Panel (no longer available) that Betty used for this quilt.  The photos capture the bears in their natural habitat with an amazing amount of details.  We decided to finish the quilt with a bear paw quilting design that finished the quilt splendidly!

Another baby quilt!!!  Aubre in NH made this modern baby quilt for a co-worker.  The soft green and gray will work beautifully for either the new little girl or boy.  Perfectly designed to go from the crib into later years another quilt that will be around for a very long time.

Adding to the baby or smaller quilts this month was Alex in NH.  Her quilts are ultra modern and full of fun!  This month I had the following quilt to work with and we kept the quilting very simple.  I love working with Alex to see how far she can push the envelope of color and design.  Another batch of cute quilts!

AND - ANOTHER baby quilt!!  Karen in NH will be a new Grand and is busier than ever making sure the little one is covered with quilts.  Karen leans toward fabrics with cute little animal prints and here's another one that won't disappoint!   The fabric is cuter than ever!

That wraps up the quilts for June, quite a show!  Hoping I will be back very soon with the July quilts to show you.  Until then, more photos can be seen here:

As always, thanks for checking in on me,
hugs,
joanne
