New Hampshire Quilts

Catchy title don't you think?  All of the quilts today are from lovely ladies here in New Hampshire.  Here we go....

Rachel does a bang up job with her quilts and this beautiful quilt is just another.  I quilted a simple lace design and I think it pulled it all together.

Next up we have June.  June is a hand quilter all the way, but decided the fabric on this print would be better suited if she didn't have to quilt it.  She brought it to me all ready for hand quilting .  Added a little extra fabric on all four sides, removed her basting as I went and she now has a wonderful wall hanging without the torture on her fingertips.

We went with Calm Waters for the stitching design and I think it worked perfectly....

Sandra had me working on this huge man quilt!  It's all flannel and going to be perfect for the cold New Hampshire winters.  Meandering finishes it off wonderfully....

Jeannie had me stitching hearts on this adorable little baby quilt for her.  It was just perfect, love the soft colors....

My machine didn't run as much last week as it should have, too many other things going on.  I'm hoping to get a little caught up this week.  Found the stitching designs that I was asking about yesterday, so you will see more of that in the future.

As usual, more pictures of these quilts are at the other blog here's the link....

that's it for now,
thanks for checking on me,

Remeber these?? Help?

I've got 5 done, three more in a bag waiting.  Can't image there were only 8 designs, imagine that?  Starting something then loosing track of the project.  I would like to get this out of the UFO pile and finish, anyone know where I got this and if there were more?  Let me know, thanks in advance

.

Last week I won the Traveling Box #1 from Becky at The Quilting Book Lady.  If you would like to read about the origin of the box click here.  To find out the latest on where the boxes are you need to go to Sewingly Along.  I've already starting pulling things to go into the box, I'm excited about trading!
Last week was a busy week for me, I'm working like crazy trying to get guild things done. My machine didn't move too much, but I'll be back tomorrow to share photo's of some great quilts that I've had the opportunity to work with.  Here's a few pictures of guild projects that's kept me busy....

Above is my Mini-McDuff bag.  And below is a fold over tote that I found on the web to offer up for the guilds Bags, Basket and Bowls raffle at our spring show.

Honestly I think I'm directionally challenged.  I found this cute little bowl and decided that it was too small so I changed it, of course, that changes all of the other fabric dimensions that need to be re-figured.  Offering this one up too for the guild.  Yes, I am crazy!!

Okay, got to scoot, tons of things to get done today, hoping to get a quilt off of the frame and I've got a couple of gals to call about their quilts.
See me again tomorrow with a quilts only post!!

Quilts, Quilts, and more quilts

Not much going on with the house this week.  We had a fun cookout with some of the guys and their wives (and Joe, too!) from where Jeff works.  They were fun, young, and made me feel old.  We played Apples to Apples and if you've ever played Apples to Apples you should try to play with four engineers, it is challenging.  Engineers are a weird bunch, not bad, just it's easier when things "make sense" and there are times during the game when it makes no sense and that my friend is difficult for a group of engineers.  Married 26 years to one, what can I say?
Judy C in NC sent me a couple of beautiful quilts, just as perfect as ever.  Judy always makes me look good.  Pop over to Judy's blog Shade Tree Quilting and say hello.  Here's Judy's quilts....

Next up we have Terry's cute little quilt.  She's blogged about it today, read all
about it at Terry's Treasures.

Another blogger Barb, who is very busy with life dropped off a few of her quilts.  She's at A Corgi to Quilt By.  Her last post has been a while ago, but she has really been busy!!  Love the Ghastly quilt that I worked with for her and the kitty Halloween quilt just kept me smiling.  Here's her quilts....

Betty Ann here in NH had me work on this great fall quilt.  We put maple leaves on it, and it is fantastic!!  Betty Ann is a fairly new quilter and doing a great job.  Don't you love the colors?

Had one guild meeting last week and we had a Sit & Sew on Saturday.  We worked on making bags for our quilt show which I'm hoping will be in April.  Need to get some work done on the show this week, since I'm chairing....um, time to crank up the pace on the details.  Anyway, here's a couple of pictures of the bags and the gals when we worked together at my house.  Forgot my camera on Saturday.   darn it!!!
Regina and her bag...(Judy C quilt on the frame)

Here's what I'm working on...can you believe it???  I actually have done something...

One more picture and I'm done....gonna miss these little guys...

Happy Tuesday!

Hope you all had a great weekend.  We had a busy one, me working on quilts for Judy C, Barb and Betty Ann.  Jeff managed to get more work done on the house with the help from one of the boys.

Lots of quilts to share today, so on with the show....

Nancy in PA kept me busy for quite a while.  Now, I want to point out that she sends me a box loaded with quilts and I work on them a few at a time  But she finally received the last box on Saturday so it's time to show her great work!  Here's a few....

Rachel lives in a town not far from me.  I met her through activities with one of the guilds I belong too.  She has brought me several quilts that I am working my way through for her.  Here's a few that I've finished recently....

These two gals have kept me pretty busy!!  I've got more of Rachel's that I will be working on and sharing in the upcoming months.  And a few more hangin' out that are patiently awaiting my attention.

Jeff kept just as busy this weekend installing more siding.  On this side of the house the siding was pulled so he could repair an opening that was allowing the critters (aka mice) to get all comfy cozy living in the walls of our house.  We couldn't figure out how these little critters were getting in the ceiling between the basement and the first floor.  UNTIL - he pulled the walls in the bathroom, remember those pictures???  Well, that weekend we caught about 12 mice!!  ICK! ICK! ICK!!!!! Know the best way to catch a mouse???

Yup, a Shop Vac!!  Just suck those little critters up.  Well, the hole in the outside wall moved us from the bathroom to the outside wall, back to the drywall in the bathroom.  But it's not just the drywall, it's the special stuff to hang tiles in a shower on and that means a special tool that has to cut the special stuff.  (I remember now, cement board - can't be cut with any ole' tool, need that special one)  And of course can't find one locally, so online tool shopping....ugh!!  The saga of the never ending house.  Here's a few pictures for me to remember where we were and that we are actually making progress. LOL!!  Bathroom before...

Bathroom now...

Install/replace the siding....

Got the insulation and wiring done for the ugly sconces that we aren't agreeing on hanging beside this window....

Okay, I've sat here long enough, time to get busy so I've can post more next week.  For more pictures of these great quilts and no house pictures hit the other blog, here's the link....

Have a fabulous week!!
