September 2020

Moving right along, let's get on to the September quilts!

Here's a couple of great quilts from Shirley!  Loads of great colors for that perfect man quilt and finishing it off with a very outdoorsy quilting theme.  Her second quilt is a beautiful string quilt and she's used blue as her main color to pull all of the fabrics together.  Good job!!

Sam has been one busy gal!  Here's another great project that she's finished  before the Christmas holiday season.  How fantastic is this gray and white tree?  So sophisticated and elegant, quilted with the perfect snowflake designs.

You just can't go wrong with the batiks.  Here's a quilt from Cheryl and the batik colors are just perfect for this quilt pattern. The darks and lights are perfectly placed.  Great job, Cheryl.

Let's just add another great batik to the list while we are at it!  Lauren did a fantastic job on her batik quilt using a lime green fabric as the center focal point.  With a deep purple as her high contrast in color, it's another great one for the books.

Michele kept me busy for a couple of days!  Here are her quilts for this month.

First up is this beautiful blue and brown with a bit of machine applique to highly compliment the colors of her opposite quilt block rows.  The machine applique
is superb.

How stunning is this burgundy, green, and cream bargello?  Michele sure does know her color combos!

And then let's add a couple of Trip Around the World to her collection.  Again with the most perfect color collection finishing off truly beautiful quilts.

Lastly just a bit of fun mindless stitching.  It's a great way to decompress.   Scrappy and pure fun to sit and sew.

How great is this batik and white from Terry in Oh?  Just one more way you
can't go wrong with batiks!  Batiks pair so well with a solid white, the colors pop and it has a nice clean overall look to it.  Simple quilting for the finishing touch.

Pam, another gal working ahead of the calendar. These quilts were made and will be given as Christmas gifts, the first two for a couple of young gals.  Working with Kaffe Fasset fabrics and adding themed quilting design will throw these two quilts over the top.  Skulls and geckos, why wouldn't the new quilt owner just love them?  Pam's third quilt was made for a very special friend.

Here's another project from Susanne here in NH.  Great use of the red, white and blue fabrics, another simple quilt top with smashing results.

Judy worked wonders with this panel turning it into a super huge quilt!
Another Christmas-themed quilt finished before the deadline!  These gals
are on the ball!

You just wouldn't believe how soft this scrappy quilt from Paige was!  Made for her 8-year-old niece this wonderful quilt will just be perfect for all kinds of snuggles, forts, and happy dreams.

That's it for the month of September!  Hope to be back in a couple of weeks with the October quilt show!
thanks for checking in on me,
hugs,

joanne
