November

November brought another round of stunning quilts.

Here's a couple of projects from Shirley in NH.  First up is a table runner in purples and greens, it was a great finish!  Her second project is a beautiful quilt in blues and yellows.  She wanted a modern feather design and this one from My Creative Stitches was just perfect!

All worked up in shades of purples and greens is this cool modern quilt from Dianne.  The overall design and colors remind me of those mod fabrics from the 60's.  Just proving all that is old is new again!

Janet probably got the "Grammy of the year" award from her grandson Ryan!  How super amazing is this quilt she made for him?  Janet machine appliqued all of the super hero emblems along with Ryan's name on his quilt.  Adding minky as the backing and a light batting resulted in the most perfect Christmas present ever for her little guy!  Great job, Janet!!

Here's a couple of quilts from Jo.  The first a variety of circles in colors to represent all of the colors you will see when looking into the Northern Lights.  Jo, who has had the opportunity to witness the beauty of the Northern Lights with her husband made this quilt in his memory.  This amazing quilt is a true work of art, I can see the full moon and it's transformation into it's different phases. Jo selected a whimsical star design for the quilting finishing it off magnificently.  Her second quilt is a cute little quilt in fun colors and lots of fun prints.

Cheona did an excellent job on this great wall hanging!  The fading of the tans mixing with the lighter inner bordering fabrics was spot on!  Also notice the way she used the scrappy crazy quilting on the center of the piece, it was a superb way to bring all of the colors together! Can't move on without commenting on the quilting design, it matched perfectly!

Donna finished off this magnificent quilt for her son for Christmas!   Fabrics are soft flannels and the most perfect colors for a man's quilt.  We selected a modern square-ish quilting design and it was just the right touch to finish this one off just right!

Here's another marvelous quilt from Dorothy in WA.  The pinks, greens and reds of this kit blend together beautifully for a remarkable finished quilt.  Using a larger quilting design for the stitching was an excellent choice.  Dorothy in efforts to keep her leftovers under control also made a couple of table toppers.  Good job Dorothy!

WOW! WOW! WOW!  I just love this next quilt from Michele!!   An incredible bargello in shades of blues, grays and black with a hint of purple to bring it all together.  Michele's second quilt is a stack-n-whack that creates a amazing array of interesting blocks from the original fabric.

Another quilt that was under the tree this year was this superb quilt from Wendy in IN.  Made for her son this super huge quilt I'm sure will be treasured for many years to come.  Another perfect quilt for a young man!  We decided upon a geometric quilting design finishing it off beautifully.

Up next is a couple of quilts from Andrea here in NH.  Both of these are excellent patterns to show off a beautiful fabric that you just can't cut.  Love the larger solid blocks blended with the few pieced blocks.  Keeping the quilting light will make these more huggable than ever!

Barbara and Sandy finished off a Kaffe Fassett quilt last year and needed a bed runner to go with those quilts.  Here's their runners and Barbara also had me quilt up shams to match.  Couldn't see much of the quilting on the runners, but the sham shows the beautiful modern quilting design that goes amazingly with the Fassett fabrics.

Last quilt of the month is this t-shirt quilt from Jill in NH. Lots of fun shirts and bright colors in this one.  Finished off with a ultra modern quilting design and the fuzzy fleece backing was spot on for this one!

That wraps up the month of November!  I'll be back again very soon with December's finishes, so check back soon!
